Thermopolis is a town in Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States. Thermopolis has a population of approximately 3,200 people and is the county seat of Hot Springs County; there are approximately 4,900 people living in Hot Springs County.

As might be expected from its name and the name of its county, Thermopolis is home to numerous natural hot springs, in which mineral-laden waters are heated by geothermal processes. It claims the world's largest mineral hot springs as part of Hot Springs State Park. The springs are open to the public for free as part of an 1896 treaty signed with the Shoshone and Arapaho Indian tribes.

Thermopolis is known throughout Wyoming as one of the most desirable communities because of the excellent climate, beautiful surroundings, and friendly people. Thermopolis needs to be experienced to appreciate its desirability as a community in which to live, work, and play.

The town of Thermopolis was founded in 1897 and is a small northwestern Wyoming community, located in the southern most point of the Big Horn Basin.
